We didn't storyboard therefore our story line was messy and unclear.
Do stick to the brief
- We were given the genre of horror but ended up coming out with the genre of comedy. If this had happened in real life our financial backers would have been furious.

Do use appropriate props
These props would clearly be associated with horror.
Do cast appropriately
Do use a tripod where possible
We didn't think of using a tripod when first filming so as a consequence all of our clips were very shaky.
Do plan location carefully
When we first started filming we did not plan our location well and it did not fit our genre so it looked very confusing. Below are some good horror locations.
Below are some bad choices for horror locations.
Do a risk assessment
When we first filmed we did not do a risk assessment and therefore if someone got hurt due to filming then there could have been legal problems.
Do have multiple characters
By having multiple characters in a film it makes the audience see different personalities and makes it more interesting. we only had 2 characters so the film was not very interesting.
Do make sure each shot is different to the last
By making each shot different to the last it makes it more interesting and helps the film flow better.
Do interesting shots
By using many different camera shots you are able to see a personality with in the film and it makes it a lot better in all areas of filming.
Don't film a drama in more than 2 shots
By filming a drama in more than 2 shots could make the audience become not interested and having lots of drama happening at once.
Dont zoom into unnecessary scenes
by zooming in on unnecessary objects and scenes it makes the film look bad and rushed wich is bad because the audience will think it is bad.
Dont include irrelevant background noise
Irrelevant background noise is bad because it can throw off the audience and not let them focus on the actual sound and can also disinterest them.
